For those of you scoring at home, here's the scoop. My friend and former colleague Nic Gibson and I decided to write a book 9 years ago. It was for our graduating high school students, all the stuff we wanted them to know about how to grow their faith when they went to college. After a lot of brainstorming, and getting advice from lots of friends and students, we each wrote 8 chapters, and published it ourselves. Four years ago, Nic and his friends in Florida re-published it. It's now been published "for real" by Paraclete Press, with all of the chapters updated, and a new "My Story" section which features first-person narratives from 7 recent college grads giving their perspective on things that went well or didn't go well (one of my new favorite parts of the book). Scot McKnight wrote the foreword, and we've gotten some great early feedback. The book has its own website, and I'm also blogging about it at Scot's blog over the next 2 weeks. [Side note: Scot said today that I blog "sometimes," which is true. I realized that there's a difference between someone who blogs (people like Scot) and someone who HAS a blog (that would be me).] Anyway, I'd love your comments/feedback/etc, and if you're interested in buying a copy, the easiest way to do that is through Amazon. It's also available for the Kindle! If you'd like a volume discount, call Paraclete directly and talk to Bob Gibson at 800.451.5006.
