Race day is three days away, and Graham and I are excited. Thanks to everyone that donated money-- we both achieved our goals, though you're still welcome to donate with the link below. Graham's foot is being held together with tape at this point (he's getting surgery on it four days after the race), but he's a trooper and I know he'll do well. If anyone wants to track our status during the race, you can go to this website or the Chicago Marathon website and sign up to receive e-mails or text messages. Just plug in my or Graham's name. I'll post some pictures here after the race.
Game 4 (let's hope it's necessary) of the NLDS will be starting right about the time I'm finishing the marathon. I'm going to be very torn between being excited about the end of the marathon, and wondering what the score is. If it's played, it will be an elimination game for someone, so it'll kind of be a big deal.
And finally...Piniella did not lose us last night's game by pulling Zambrano too early. We lost because the offense scored only one run. Let's hope for better tonight.
